You guys wanna go?

This will be my last one for the season.........unless it rains. frown Anyways, since it's already late in the year, the temp should be perfect for our cars. I have a feeling that I'll be hitting the 13's that day. wink tongue

If you are going to crack 13's, you must of done something.

Tell me what you did, so I can crack 13's also.

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 17, 2002 05:03 am UTC

Tim, You're on!

Carlos, I didn't do anything. It's just that it was the same time last year when I got my PB at St Thomas. I just have a feeling that I'll break it. smile You got your 14b installed already, right?
Posted By: Tim Hunt

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 17, 2002 04:30 pm UTC

Carlos, cracking 13's with the 14b should be possilble, just DRIVE. Is anyone going to run race gas a shoot for a personal best this day?

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 17, 2002 08:49 pm UTC

To be honest, I don't feel any difference between the T-25, and the 14b, except more lag.

I was thinking of getting race gas.

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 18, 2002 03:44 am UTC

Carlos,
With the 14b installed what boost are you running ?
I was under the impression that the 14b flowed just a little more than the T-25, but the main difference is that the 14b will hold 15psi up to redline instead of falling off after 5000 like the t-to-small.

Ian,
I assume you will be running race gas at the track. Any chance I can convince yoy to pick me up a couple of extra gallons ? Drop me an email. And if you come to the track I need mt lucky T-shirt back.

Tim, I will be able to get you your lucky T Shirt, however race gas supplies are running very low. I will order another drum, but only if more people other then yourself and I are going to use it. Let me know guys.

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 21, 2002 03:54 pm UTC

Ian which gas is it? If it is c16, let me know how much per gallon...
Posted By: Ian Currie

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 21, 2002 07:09 pm UTC

Yes it would be C16, I will calculate out how much I will charge a Gallon when Marco gets back to the shop. Just because I will have to pay for the whole drum initially.
Posted By: Ian Currie

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 21, 2002 09:47 pm UTC

Alright, a drum is 60 gallons, it is going to cost me quite a bit of money. I will let it go for $15 a gallon, but I need more interest then 2 people to make it worth my while. If I can sell a total of at least 30 gallons, I will do it.

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 22, 2002 12:25 am UTC

Thanks man, my IC pipe blew off on that run. So it was a 11.770@111.94mph, but I have already trapped a 126.03 (missing third). If I get a clean run, with new plugs, and no blowin IC pipes, I believe that car is capable of low 11's. I am possibly bringing the nitrous next weekend to see if I can bust a 10 with the car before the season is over. laugh laugh

Absolutely! If you can't meet up with everyone on the drive down, just show up at the track.

I'm going to try and be there... especially to see a 10 second run.

There's going to be at least one other 10 second car at the track on sunday too.

Yeah, that's what I also think. Your car probably makes a good 100HP more than mine and that's off the nitrous! A little more track time and fixing your little bugs is all that's missing IMHO.

Hurry up for your 10 seconds run cause I plan to do it next year! wink

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 26, 2002 03:21 pm UTC

Well guys, I am contimplating on whether or not to come out tomorrow. I have no C16, and its almost not worth it for me. Unless I just run on 94 and Nitrous, which would be somewhat usefull. As that is what I run on the street. Anyways, if anyone has any fuel (looking in Petrie's direction) it would be greatly appreciated if I could buy some! smile

Sounds like there will be more than a few guys out smile

I will see you all out there. I'm gonna be there for 10:00am. To lose at least 1/6th of the time we have is too much. I wanna be there at 10am to get tech'd and start running.

Good luck to all smile

BTW, please don't forget the time change aspect of things. We fall back an hour tonight!

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 27, 2002 08:46 pm UTC

Kinda a crappy day, it got quite busy fairly quickly which I didn't really like. I got 3 passes in, all on pump gas, and no nitrous. Did a best of 12.2@112mph (wouldn't go to 4th) with a crappy 1.997 60'. Going back before it closes to get some more passes in. It also did 118MPH on pump gas, with a shitty 2.2 60'. Car was being kinda bitchy today.

Oh yea, I ran 21#'s.

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 27, 2002 09:44 pm UTC

It was like ice at 10:15 when i got there. It didn't get a lot better though. I managed a 13.1@104 with a 1.85 60' running at 15psi. Not bad for my first time out cool
Posted By: Erick Ocampo

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 27, 2002 10:52 pm UTC

I sucked, could only manage a 14.55 @ 93.6.

Lots of DSMs though, at least 20 were there. tu

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 27, 2002 11:04 pm UTC

When we got there the place was EMPTY...but like Ian said it sure filled up fast.

I made 7 passes, with a personal best of 14.02 @98mph. That was at 13psi on the 16G. I was happy with that until Jeremy had a nearly identical time on his pretty much STOCK car. Bastard! mad laugh

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 27, 2002 11:14 pm UTC

Well I ended up going to the WRONG track to hook up with you guy's, woke up late all groggy from loosing sleep. Quickly packed the car and took off for...St Thomas. Waited at Woodstock for the caravan until about 9:15 and when nobody showed up I took off for the track on my own. Waited around until 10:30 for the track to open. Probably about 15 cars at opening and about 45 by the mid afternoon.
Sorry Phil gonna have to make your life even worsre car ran a 13.86, funny thing is that my MPH is about 3-4mph slower than when the car ran a 14.3 last event out. The good thing is I was able to finally learn how to launch and was able to keep consistant 1.8-1.9 60ft

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 28, 2002 12:18 am UTC

Today was a hoot. managed to get 4 runs in but was caught out twice with a bad lights...so I only got 2 good runs.

Best of the day (Personal best)
14.093@96.34MPH, with 1.955 60'

Car has,
stock exhaust with catcon and with aftermarket 2.25 straight through muffler, MBC @ 15psi, FP rewire, K&N, seats and spare removed.

No doubt the biggest power adder was the cool temps. Best run was also against a Turbo'd Integra GSR with made a 14.4 pass as well running 7psi. This is the first sub-2.0 sec 60' so far, either i have to accept the fact I dont know how to drive AWD DSMs or there is some problems with the drivetrain.

I figured i can just shave another 4-5 tenths off by upgrading to a 2.5" (or 3")turbo back and running cat-less. that will put mid into the mid-13s.

Re: Cayuga - Sunday, Oct. 27th - October 28, 2002 01:49 am UTC

I ran a 14.7 at 96mph today, pretty good! personal best although I've only been out twice. The car is a '92 tsi fwd.. k&n, balance shafts removed and mbc at around 15psi. Everything else is stock.

Logs showed knocking through the whole 3rd gear... the boost goes too high in 3rd.. hmmmmmmmmmm

If I have time I'll rewire my fuel pump, see if that helps....

Good runs you DSMers!! and congrats Tim on that 13.86!! That's definitely an un-stockly figure smile

I won't even get into what happened to my wastegate, but my buddy Bruce ran 12.9 @ 103 on this FWD. Not bad for a FWD and stock turbo.

I am going back this year, so perhaps we should arrange another DSM T&T day.

Well, when we were there on the 27th, they announced that there will be T&T on Saturdays & Sundays right up thru at least mid-December........weather permitting of course. They wanna make up for opening so late this year.

Don't count on a lot of people showing up though..........it's too cold already.
