1G AEM EMS into a 2G? possible?

I've got avalible to me a 1G aem ems.
I was wondering if anybody ever heard of trying to wire it into a 2g?
I'm thinking that it's just not possible.
I havn't seen anybody on the net doing it.
I'm thinking it has to do with the ODBI and ODBII differences.

Idea's?

Completely different wiring harnesses and sensors. If you had a 1g engine and harness you could do it but would it be worth it?
