Thank god SD can tune out some mechanical problems - April 01, 2012 03:03 pm UTC

SO my BOV died yesterday and now it is stuck open when the car is under vacum but under boost it gets forced closed and holds 21 psi lol so if I was not running SD it would not run with out alote of duck tape rotflmao
this would be a majer boost leak frown
these pictures are while the car is idoling. I am able to move the cylenter with my baby finger.
So I think the spring inside is broken frown

I think it's time to ditch the bells and whistles, and go back to the basics.

You don't have to crush them, garage mod them. Holds everything you wanna throw at it, and it's still your cheapest option.

Nice info guys smile thank you! I will not be running that setup only because mine is in and running.
On the other hand my friends car I got pulled apart at the moment, looks like a viable option laugh for his car smile

At how much boost should someone start looking at the garage mod?

In my experience a 1G bov is good to about 22psi as is, 30psi crushed, and then the DGM will handle whatever you throw at it.
