Its a 7 bolt no? Is there a difference between 1 and 2g 7 bolts?

It is a 7 bolt, but there is a difference between 1g and 2g 7bolt heads.

+1 on "show us the intake ports" tongue

1G 7 bolt is lower compression than a 2g 7 bolt, 7.8:1 instead of 8.5:1.

I thought that was piston difference. Always thought a 7 bolt was a 7 bolt head. I asume since Jeremy and Bryan want to see the intake ports that they are different. I only knew it was a 7 bolt by the 10mm exhaust stud at the end.

Isn't the 1g head the same for both 6 and 7 bolts? They both use the same thermostat housing which is different from the 2g. The pistons are indeed different between 1g and 2g 7 bolt.

1G compression, on 2G rods.
Bigger ports on the intake manifold (1G intake manifold)
Also the front mount is on the engine rather than the transmission. Or the other way around.
And the exhaust studs are 7 bolt style, but, thats a 7 bolt thing, not a 1g/2g thing.

I thought you were running 1G 7bolt engine in 2g. Isn't it the case?

I was a couple years ago, I broke a ring land and swapped it out for another 2g 7 bolt.
