New Addition to the [CAR] Family

New Addition to the [CAR] Family - July 19, 2018 02:07 pm UTC

So...

As many of you know, I have a wonderful white Talon Tsi.
Driving that car is like Heaven.
And, it's provided me with some loving help in our symbiotic relationship.
One story in particular, where she held my wallet in the wing for miles is worth the money I continue to put into her.

Parts are getting scarce for the old girl, so I'm relegating her to summer use to stretch out the time together.
Plus, I have scheduled some work to fix some body issues.

My wife says to get rid of the Talon, but "you can pry the steering wheel out of my cold dead hands"
In my "Last Will and Testimony" the car goes to my daughter, who always loves "Daddy to rub out the loser in the FU lane"

I just bought a Mitsubishi Evolution X MR.
Premium package, made from Japan.
All the bells and whistles.
2011
38k on it!
Man...what a blast to drive!

I have to blame you guys for showing off your cars. lol
Now that little itch to get the same has been scratched.

Love both my cars!
I have some pics...does anyone have an account to which I can post (like give them to you?)

Congrats on new family addition. Beautiful MR!
Not many members here like TC-SST but i personally enjoy it more that 5speed but only when in sport mode with aggressive downshifts in auto.

I'm trying to get used to the gear paddles!

The car drives so quiet.

I know when my Talon hits 60km/h

The Evo...at 100km/h it feels the same than at 40...gotta watch the speedometer now!

I liked the paddle shifting on the Ralliart when I tested a couple. Too many people telling me the SST transmission is delicate though. If I get more money I have a project in mind with a ralliart...money first though.

Congrats on the car! She looks like a Beaut'!

Haha.. Gui, been looking into that Project and it isn't that easy! One guy who's done it in USA and he's in DEEP and still not out of the hole with it! lol...

Congrats. Phantom black is a great colour for these things. Truthfully an awesome all around car, I don’t think there is anything else like it.

With that being said, you should sell me those BBS wheels

Let me give you all some observations after having this guy for over a month.

a) I've decided the Evo is a "HE" and will be addressed as such.
b) Talon has always been a lady
c) the SuperSport mode scares the H*LL out of me
d) Guys in Suburu's always give me the thumbs up
e) Lancer lads always ask "is that...is that...and I just nod like I'm the coolest thing"
f) My wife actually loves it (especially when I open the doors and help her in and out)

Overall, it's pretty Spartan for a car worth 65K, but I love it nevertheless.
Can't wait for the selective modding in a few years.
