One last thing,
Andrew don't know if you have notice or if it's just me,
But when I make a post (like this) and the page auto-reloads, it will not include my new post.
I have to F5 the page again to see the new post.

Thought you should know. I'm done now.

Let's hope those three girls don't take that RX-7's body as an indication of how much money you make being a race car driver [Linked Image]

Speaking of re-builds are rotaries easier/cheaper due to the great lack of moving parts?? Or are they generally more expensive/harder due to their rarity (compared to real engines [Linked Image] sorry, couldn't let that last one slide by..) anyway, is there much of a difference either way?

------------------
See ya,
Steve.

'92 Eagle Talon Tsi

Re: Bong! - March 10, 1999 04:12 am UTC

It has to be cheaper to re-build a rotary... I've seen marco using nothing but a bench grinder, wood chisels, sandpaper, and Castrol "superclean".. to rebuild all the rotary engines.. It's soo cheap cuz he doesn't even use real apex seals and gaskets... just ground-down coathangers and old rubberbands...

In all seriousness, if you've never seen a torn down rotary engine, you'd be pretty suprised at how simple it is... 3 moving parts.. that's it..

AND, the best part is, rotaries are so simple that even a simpleton like Marco can actually work on them! [Linked Image]

Re: Bong! - March 10, 1999 02:17 pm UTC

That would leave me to believe that the only reason Marco likes rotaries is:

He blows engines up SSOOO often, he needs to be able to rebuild them for $5.

Actually, I've read a few articles on the rotaries (ease, but need for ACCURATE porting, etc.) What got me wondering though was availability. Is Mazda the only place to get a new rotor if you need one, or is there a big aftermarket following for internal parts as well??

Re: Bong! - March 19, 1999 07:13 am UTC

Well, since you're gonna be pulling apart my baby tomorrow I'll be nice... Yes Marco, you've got all that.. That 323 is so fast I nearly sh!t myself when I went for coffee in it the other day... ohh baby... it actually squeeled it's front tires like one of tho's bad boy civics that you seem to spend so much time raving about...
And that beautiful RX-7 you have.. It just looks fast, even when
sitting still...
still...

dead rotor...

Oh yah, I forgot.. I was gonna be nice.. OOPS [Linked Image]

I'll be nice tonight.. Marco and Arnel spent ALL DAY under my car today, and when I picked it up at 9:30pm, Marco was almost delirious... and very cranky [Linked Image]

Uhh, the reason I gave Marco the Hoosiers is because I felt sorry for him. I figure a mazda needs all the help it can get in order to make it down the track under 15. I regret it though, I have this vision of that passenger door blowing off around the the end of the track and flying into a dsm.......actually....that wont happen cause the dsm will be so far ahead..."IM NOT ASSIMILATING TO THE ROTARY CONNECTION" Im just trying to help a lost cause out of sympathy

Re: Bong! - April 13, 1999 04:19 am UTC

Close Blake... Marco was messing with his inflatable doll when he hit the curb... but it was because he was trying to save her... You see, Marco's minature needle-di*k accidentally impaled his neumatic honey while he was taking a sharp corner... He took his eyes off the road for a second while he gave her "mouth to ???" and lost control of the car. But fear not. With alittle help of some duct tape, she's back in action again..making his drive to work in the 323 all the more pleasant. But don't worry, Marco now takes some precautions to prevent another nasty puncture while driving with his helium lady... He has gobbed a small amount of rubber cement on the end of his penis to dull the sharp-end, and to keep his love-life active.
That's why he hasn't bought himself a Talon yet... He's currently saving all his pennies to invest in a new balloon baby... made of 2 inch thick latex.

Uh huh, music, yeah, that's what it is. Right. [Linked Image]

Hey, every type of music has it's place... and some of the Dance/Rap music is good in the clubs... heck, I own a lot of it from the DJ days.

But, you think I can stand to listen to it? Ha! No soul man, no feeling, little talent, and most of all, NO REAL INSTRUMENTS... [Linked Image]

But, hey, to each his own... I consider Rap/Dance as "All Show, No Go".

Maybe there's a correlation here... [Linked Image]

Rap is full of soul, talent and instruments. Problem (or not) is that they are "borrowed" from other songs [Linked Image]

as for talent...you try talking that fast, and then breathing only when possible. It actually requires training...

What happened - aren't you guys going to try for 500 (or 300 whatever comes first). Everytime you guys check the UBB put a post up here - or else.

Now, I REALLY wish that I had a cable modem!!! geez, stay away from a thread for a month and this is what you get? Man, this was painfull, and since I waited as long as I did for it to load, I might as well post a completely meaningless blurb to say that I survived the BONG! .........so far! [Linked Image]

Maybe it's time we said goodbye to this entertaining thread and close it for good... We'll say afew words at the next meeting... kinda like a bong funeral.

Andy.. close this thread before it starts to decay and rot.

[Linked Image] Good bye bong... we'll miss you.

Maybe you're right Steve... -sniff-

Well, the next version of the UBB is going to break up long message threads into chunks anyhow, so, it would have stopped and been chopped shortly anyhow...

The bong is dead! Long live the bong!
