Gotta love someone who in an effort to drum up business on this board, would insult 95% of the people here. confused

P.S. AYE!

A lot of the guys on here are very knowledgeable but for whatever reason are in some other career to pay the bills. There are also some imature hacks and yes I cringe when I see what they have done to their cars. Most of us know who is who.

Mechanics who feel they are the only ones who could possibly do what they do is a bit arrogant and reminds me of Porn Kings. Proven skill, results and confidence are one thing which deserve respect on either side but arrogance from either the owner or the mech is not too appealing.

I see this thread is referring to Mark Fisher.

For the record, I will stand up for Mark and say that he is a very nice guy.
I have made numerous posts about his shop and the rebuild he did on my 97.

Knowing him personally, I am positive that Mark means no disrespect to the people on this board by the "mousepad mechanics" sig. I am sure you have all dealt with people from time to time who claim to be wise and seem to know your car better than you do..........well Mark and his son Pat have dealt with their fair share of people like that in their years in the automotive business. Now that they are doing more engine work, they get embattled with even more "experts", if you know what I mean.

So, give Mark a break, not only because he's a great guy, but because I said so. wink
I can't say enough good things about the work he did on my car, and I wish him and his family all the best of success for the future.

Suggestion then is that it is true customers can be a$$holes but saying it out loud isnt the best way to build a business. They may be the best but let their work and reputation say it or even better customers like Dan. wink

I know how you guys feel. I wasn't impressed with his post about "web parts slingers" and "not needing to go into a group buy to get good pricing".... Yet, I just saw where he offered someone an ACT clutch for 36% MORE than my REGULAR EVERYDAY price!

AYE.

I was considering a purchase from them. Their price was higher then other packages I have seen but I saw the work they did for Dan and thought I'd support the more local person.

Guess it won't happen now.

I would have understood Keyboard Mechanic better. Instead I thought you did something bad at work and were delegated mouse cleaning duty.

Linky to thread?

^^^
It's simply a hint, that you should think about changing your sig.

Most of us here have very little to go on, so you could only expect to be judged by your sig. tongue

Exactly, I went from wanting to give you guys a try to not wanting a thing to do with you. Blew your chance at some business that might have led to more.

DSM's may be your JOB, but these cars are our PASSION, and Im confident I know more about these cars than 99% of liscenced mechanics in the trade. You dont need a liscence to know your sh*t. Just a little drive and inspiration to learn.

Your sig doesnt really insult me, but I like MY new sig and it stays untill I feel I find something funnier to put there. wink No hard felings. You may very well be a super nice guy. I dont really care either way. smile I work on my own cars.
