New Clutch

New Clutch - December 17, 2007 02:31 pm UTC

Ok well got my engine on the stand. Took the stock clutch/flywheel off to do so, the clutch definitely needs replacing.

One thing I know I will need to do is have the flywheel step machined to .612"

My question is should I buy a clutch kit with PP (from NAPA or something) or just buy an OEM disk and have my PP step machined as well?

I also can get a used street disk that has some life in it still.

Thanks

Get yourself a new clutch, may as well while the engine is out.

For the power you want to put down, an ACT 2100 and a Mitsu street disc will do the trick.

I run an ACT 2600 with a Mitsu disc... no complaints.

Going with the 2100 and a street disc. Having the flywheel machined.
