Rear hubs question

Rear hubs question - March 26, 2010 08:08 pm UTC

ok, so I am doing a 5 bolt swap on my galant in the future, probably not to distant. I have search this on galant forums, I know for sure front spindles bolt directly on. Only answers I dont really have is what is needed from the back. someone said they got all there hubs from a eclipse GS. from what I have seen a fwd rear hub is different and will not work

Being new to awd, I thought I would confirm I have it right.

What what it looks like or I can tell through caps. Is that I just have to remove the rear axles from the cups. Then remove the companion nut.

From the looks of it after that is off it should slide out. Then slide in the 5 bolt hubs and reverse.

I'm wondering if I am correct also, is it usually easier said then done? or is there another way to go about getting just the hub swapped?

Don't know if this matters but its for a 3 bolt

Thanks for the help.

There are a few guys on the vr4 board selling 5 lug kits. Seems like all you need are the front and rear spindles smile

Ok, so I think then I am right. Perhaps I will see the price on the spindles there. Still got some time hoping someone parts out a talon local by then =] lol
