1g OEM suspension - September 23, 2016 01:00 am UTC

Looking to see if anyone knows if it's still possible to get a new OEM suspension (dampers/springs; the lot). Or to piece them out with similar quality brands.

I am running the OEM struts that Ziggy had and they have been good. I think CT works too for those

Are you looking for actual OEM suspension or aftermarket? Because OEM comes from the Chrysler or Mitsu Dealer for your car.

Well if I got to chose I'd want oem. I'm looking for comfort on the 1g and longevity.

With the age of our cars I doubt dealerships would still carry them though

Well if the Dealerships dont have them.....you are looking at aftermarket.

Unless RTM has Mitsu shocks instock. Napa and CTC dont carry OEM.

IF they were available, they would likely be an arm and a leg, ESPECIALLY if they had to come out of Chrysler inventory. The KYB GR2 are stock equivalent, or a slight improvement, at a good price. I can't imagine why you would want to pay double or triple just for a name?

Well I have KYBs presently on Tein springs, hate them with a passion. Very rough on anything bigger than a pebble.

Well you could sell the Talon and buy a 58 caddy. You won't feel any bumps.. Lal

Rock Auto is clearing out KYB GR2's for 1g's, like $34 a shock.

It's the springs Gui, your shock choice is fine, whether or not yours are blown is another issue.

Yeah that's in the springs. Get stock springs, or H&R's. My 1G is on H&R's and it rides extremely smooth and nice.

Which H&R springs to you have Lucian? I am trying to find something that isn't a crazy drop but still rides as smooth as stock.
