I'm in need of a new one too so. I have a freind here at work who knows a company. He got me a price for my windshield $180 total, and for 2G's it was $200 so I'm gonna call him tomorrow and see what better price he'll give for a group buy.

Ok guys,
I called them and was able to get a price of $160/each. Wasn't too happy with that so I got a hold of another contact who came with a crazy price of $250/each. I (being a stingy DSM'r) told him there is no way in hell I'd give him business for $250/each so he asked me what I was looking for. I got a price for $150/each 91-98 Talon/Laser. I think it's the best price, they will remove surface rust and clean up minor problems. If you have gaping holes well then that might be another issue you need to deal with.

when and where is this going to happen?

I was talking to Isaque about this today and the reason the guy is dropping the price is because of our numbers. He wants the business and he's still making enough on each windshield that it works for him too.

I'm sure we'll work out how this will be done. I invision everyone just booking their own appointments because it would be kinda retarded having 10 DSMs show up at once to replace a windshield.

If we all just book an appointment for certain times and just let them know it's from the DSM group it will work out well. This makes in convienent for everyone.

I'll leave it up to Isaque to finish this off and maybe give the contact info for us.

Why would it be retarded? If the guy is good, he can have the old window out and the new one back in, in half hour tops. So if the guy books an entire day for us, we could just all show up get it done on the same day and go on with our lives. And while we're waiting we can have a little mini meet in his parking lot lol.

Some of us work and can't give up a whole day.

Phone up few wreckers and the lowest price on a USED windshield was $125.

By the time you buy the proper silcone sealant cleaning stuff you will be over the $150 mark. And you still have to thruogh the aggravation of removing the old one,install the used one,yada yada, yada.

As far as Noah & Shaun's opinions of going there indiviadually or as a group, it's totally up to each person. I spoke to him and he was fine with having everyone come at once or booking it at different time. He'd prefer all of us at once cause that way he'd get'em out of the way but I do understand that not everyone can make it at the same time.

One of those two Saturday's would be great for me.

Only one of my cars (93 AWD) will be going in on whatvere date is arranged. The other one is still under construction. It's only a winter car anyway.

I'll probably drop in during the week sometime.

If I were him, I wouldn't go ahead and order 10 windshields knowing DSMers. I'd order a few at a time.

I called made appointment for Wednesday. He seems like a cool guy on the phone.
I'll be dropping it off Wednesday morning and picking it up at night.
He needs a day to order the windshield so call ahead of time.
Couldn't wait needed it by Thrusday.

I think the way Tony did it will be the best way also to do it, just give him(Bill-owner) a call, tell him you're from the DSM Club and you want to make an appointment with him. I'll be heading out there most likely on the 28th. If anyone else is up for the 28th let me know and we can meet up there.

Yes it does have a 4-5 inch bluish tint across the top of the windshield.

Thanks. It's not that I was waiting for someone to get this done. I just saw this thread last night for the first time. My windshield was cracked by a stone from a dump truck on Monday and being that I'm selling the car I need to get this fixed asap.

My deductible is $300.00 so it's not worth going through insurance.

I'm having mine done on the 17th at 8:00.

Had my windshield done this morning. I got in at 8:00 and was out the door at 8:30.

They did an awesome job. They tore the moulding while trying to remove it and replaced it with new stuff that is much better looking for no extra charge.

I feel so exposed now because the glass is so bloody clear.

For $150.00, you can't get any better than that.

Just booked two slots for the 27th at 2pm. Finally no cracks very soon!

I've got to wait to get my car back on the road before I book an appointment. Hopefully my freaking transfer case comes in soon

They'll honour the $150 price for all dsm members until I see fit to tell him the group buy is done. So to whoever's name was on the list, Please try to get your windshield put in A.S.A.P

I HOPE it will be ready by saturday, but who knows. I'm waiting for the shop that screwed my transfer case to get another one in. He said the guy sent it out like 2 and a half weeks ago so who bloody knows.

Got my windshield put in on Saturday. I must say I was planning on getting a good deal but after seeing the condition of how bad my frame around my windshield was I thought for sure he'd charge me more, only $150 though but gave him $160. He grinded the whole frame to remove as much rust a possible and then bondoed the holes, I must say I was impressed. Once I was done I asked him how many other members had come in and he said he had a few but someone had called in on Friday saying they would be coming in but then never showed up. He's a real honest guy to deal with so I just ask that we can be true to our words with him.
I also did ask him how long he would honour this price and he said that's he'd do it for that price whenever a DSM'r needed a windshiels, so this price it valid for good.

I was the one who was suppose to come down Fri but traffic from Barrie to Mississauga took 3 hours. It was STUPID and I was getting real frustrated.

Anyway I came back on Saturday like posted above. I paid him $160 as well. He said my frame around the windshield was in the best shape out of all the rusted talons that came through before. ISAQUE!

Tim, Glad to hear at least you came in the next day to get it done. Oh and the "best frame condition award" is not up for grabs but the worst "frame" is the one that was up for graps so I think I took that one Rob G. can vouch for that.

I probably need to get mine done. After the whole fire incident, I need to get my car certified again. I have a small crack on the drivers side which was "repaired" but you can still see it.

Guessing it won't pass with that there.

But my car is going to Apple Auto Glass soon for the convertible top repair, so let me know if Bill's price will be cheaper - otherwise I'll just get the windshield done there at the same time.
