Good Suspension Shops

I'm looking to get a suspension upgrade done. Can anyone tell me a good place where I can go to get suspension/alignment work done in the Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Kitchener-Waterloo areas?

I'm looking for the same. I need an alignment. I want a good one, not a typical muffler shop alignment. I was thinking of trying Mantis Racing on Speers in Oakville. They've been racing Porsches and Bimmers for years. Any opinions on these guys?

Speaking of getting an alignment done on a lowered Talon... does anyone know where I can get a decent listing of the alignment specs if I lower my car?

Peter, the first time I heard of the place, the name instantly invoked "Preying Mantis". I have not heard anything good about them.

OK, here's the scoop on Mantis Racing in Oakville.

When I brought my car there for an alignment (because I just had Magnus install thier adjustable control arms ), they quoted me $130, or $150 if things were seized. I figured, well sounds kind of high, but OK - because I wanted it done right for once. They put 160lbs ballast in the driver's seat for me , and even gave me a printout of my alignment settings . But - they charged 3 hours labour totalling $204+tax

Draw your own conclusions.

I'm just posting this to help any of you make a decision.

Adjustable Control arms??

Is that so you can lower the car, and then go back to the original height if you want to?

How much?

When Craig W. had his car lowered he had to get his control arms cut, because it was giving him too much negative chamber, or something like that, and chewing up his rear tires.

Does that apply to FWDs as well?

Oh, I forgot to mention that the steering wheel isn't straight now . Shouldn't that be part of an alignment?

Paul, yes that's why I did the control arm mod. If you have a lowered AWD, call Marco for prices (but think LS1 ). FWD's don't have this lowering trouble because of the `solid rear axle' suspension arrg't - or whatever you call it.

Well as far as I know... a straight steering wheel should be part of the deal...

$204 Bucks? Is that before or after the "Gouge and Screw Tax" ?
