engine/oil cooler lines

i just had a new engine put in my 1990 awd turbo talon but the new engine is for a 2wd turbo...does that matter?...also, i need new oil cooler lines...can i just bypass the oil cooler without risk to the engine?..mike...mike_goldman1972@yahoo.com
