Talon Fenders

Talon Fenders - November 15, 2017 07:36 pm UTC

Hey All,

Quick one here.

My Talon needs a new passenger side fender (it rusted off at the usual spot).

Now, I've been reading that the Tsi model (I have a 1gb '93) is slightly larger than the other types.

From what I gather, I need to replace this with a 1gb Tsi fender.

Is this true? I'm really confused.

That's news to me, my understanding was a 1gb =1gb
I am pretty sure bumpers have a small difference though as fwd rear bumper didn't fit great on my awd. wiki has info there

Is it because of the side skirts? Not all models had those panels.

I just checked eBay and it says that the fenders are compatible, but the bumpers are not.

I guess I'll take a leap of faith and let you all know.

There's a guy in Tilsonburg who has a tonne of parts.

Has anyone dealt with him from this site?

Adam is his name?

I've owned a few 1Gb's, including a non turbo 2.0L and the fenders are the same across the board. Actually every body panel is the same on a 2.0L 1Gb Talon. Fenders, doors, bumpers front and rear, wing, hatch, skirts etc. Turbo or not, AWD or not it's all the same. Bumper differences are a concern for the 1Ga models. And the 1Gb Talon DL doesn't have skirts. Otherwise it's all the same sh!t.

I was just in Tilsonburg lats night. The guy there is ... different, and expensive. All in all he is a good guy and you could probably get him down in price. He has a red 1GB with good fenders if I am not mistaken.
