Thats crazy talk, you must have gone straight to the dealer with a qoute like that, but they will do everything for that I hope like all new idler and tensioner pullies, and it is hard to find experienced mechanic for these cars, try the previously mentioned or family the belts are 100 & 75 approx OEM. good luck.

If you do a proper timing belt OE parts will be around $500 depending on what kind of DSM discount you get at Mitsubishi.

Hello Everyone,
Yes, that involves everything parts and Labout, pulles etc. I am going to try the Mitsu dealer today.

Thanks,
Ash

Its a neon. Why would you possibly go to Mitsu for anything. Futher more, $700-900 is pretty fair qoute for a tbelt job from a competant mechanic with OEM stuff from Chrysler.

Yes, a Talon(Eclipse) is a Neon and therefore Mitsubishi doesn't carry parts for it  , what are you talking about?

The 10-15% discount on parts through KW Mitsu or whatnot still applies..

Check with Radim @ Metalex or smaller shops than the dealer

What I think he means is the ESI has geniunine Chrysler parts under the hood because the motor basicly IS a neon motor, (2g ESI means 420a not 4g63) Give your head a shake.

On a side note though, I have no idea whether a mitsu dealer is a good place to get ESI engine parts from because of the different motor. Worth a shot, a discount is a discount.

Yes the engine is shared with a Neon but the arguement of the car being a Neon is just uncalled here.

Merit of the story being that Mitsubishi Dealer do carry the parts for it. It might or might not be cheaper than Chrysler.
