N/T & turbo cam?

N/T & turbo cam? - July 22, 2005 03:49 am UTC

I've got the valve cover off my N/T to put the turbo intake cam in, and after checking the lobe hieght noticed they are the same, as the haynes manual also says.
My N/T is a Nov 91' early 92' standard, and the turbo cam is out of a 90' standard. According to Haynes they are the same 90-92' non-turbo & turbo.
Anyone wish to explain, thanks.
just a few things left til we firer er up.

Apparently the 90 cams were same as NT.

90's all had the same cams. The best stock cams are 93-94 5spd Turbo.

Ok I have to ask again due to my cams being off and the chance to change um.

My 92' N/T cams have a small F stamped on the intake cam close to the belt sproket and a D on the exhaust cam. I am ignoring theprotruding huge A and J on both N/T cams because I don't no what there for.

I have another 91' turbo and there are no marks accept an RA on the intake cam near the CAS slots and on the exhaust cam an R9 in the same location, the turbo cams also look like they are better quality have less slag and unnessary material.

Is there any diff between these cams concerning duration or lobe height?..
thanks.
the stock cam info seemed vauge to me confused
