When do you shift?

When do you shift? - August 17, 2016 07:29 pm UTC

If I am passing a car and they have their driver window open (and I am under boost).
I shift next to them.

If I am coming up to a possibly good looking woman walking on the side walk with her back to me (and I am under boost)
I shift early. (They always look back)

If there are a bunch of kids staring at the cool car (and I am under boost).
I shift when I reach them. (Doing it for the kids officer!)

If I am passing a patio full of people (and I am under boost), I don't shift. I just gently let off the gas to get the BOV to flutter.

I shift when I need to capitalize letters, or type certain punctuation marks.

I have a hard time telling if it is BOV flutter or Compressor Surge. Meh. It sounds awesome.

Mine only does it under partial throttle. I could never rev the engine at idle and get it to do it.

Bryan. Your auto correct is awesome.

LOL I guess I was too excited!!

Surge is like letting go of the gas really fast and doesn't feel nice, you will know.

The studder is pretty great, but I like the WOOSH! followed by a whistle from the HX35 on a 2.3 wink

Charles, what kind of BOV are you using? (if there are pictures or videos, I cant' see them at work...)

Turbosmart (not sure which model) Think it's this one without the cone. http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItemBundle.asp?idProduct=27858

Not very clear but you can hear it a little here.

Has no negative effect on driveability.

I tried softening the spring tension, SOOOOO boring. half second psshh.

Back on topic. Depends how I am sitting. Have to shift it left or right.
