BMW employees here?

Just checking on the off chance that there is a sympathetic bmw employee on the board.

I'm looking at buying another car and although the car is a beauty, there are NO service records. The dealership seems to consider previous service history as 'intellectual property' or 'proprietary information', both of which are rubbish. Every other brand in the country would pass this info along with no trouble.

In any event, this car is known to be a bit delicate and very expensive to fix, so I'm trying to get some history before I pull the trigger, namely whether or not certain trouble areas have already been addressed. I have the carproof but it tells me nothing.
