Metallic rattle can paint

Looking to find some paint in a spray can that's not crazy overpriced and good quality.

I am looking for a dark grey/gunmetal type color with a metallic flake in it

I do see c-tire carries a few options

As I have learned and as many have said after I painted my roof you aren't going to get the best quality in a paint can unless you spend some money.

I remember that many were stating that you need to make sure there is a hardener in the paint and see if you can find one that's actually a three stage so you have a prime, your paint and then your clear coat. I wasn't looking for this when I was looking before so not sure if it's available.

Either refreshing the white in the bay or going a completely different darker gunmetal type color solely because it wont show stains, handprints etc as much vs a white

I keep a healthy amount of brake cleaner (buy it by the box, it's cheaper) and rags for this reason

Hey Mike ive always been wary thinking the chemicals in brake cleaner being detrimental to the clear coat or can lead to premature fading?

I have a full line of PPG paints I can mix for you at my work. I just need the paint code of whatever you like, or the year/make/model. I work in Milton so it's not far.

I can also order you the rattle cans with the built in hardener to put the paint into. The stuff we have though, it sprays and looks much nicer than the off-the-shelf stuff you get from the parts stores.

Brake cleaner will take the paint right off...

Mike I assume you are not using chlorinated correct?

Exactly.

And I've been using it for years and years with no ill effect on paint. Not like I would use it on a hood, or door. Just where it gets grimey.

Just making sure, cause chlorinated (can't speak for non as I don't use that) will very quickly remove paint. I speak from experience.
