So here we go.
I thought you guys might get a chuckle out of some of the emails we get privately, as admins. Mark observed, that this was definitely barrel worthy.
Original email:
Ok, so another guy, (who may be the nicest guy in the world, but who we don't know from a hole in the ground) is looking to unload used parts, via a Hotmail account.
Ugh.
I get about one of these a week.
So, I reply:
Yes, it's always nice to have more parts to choose from, but this guy's email checks out as a Sympatico account, yet he keeps insisting he has to use Hotmail. So, he gets the terse response, designed to scare away would-be crooks.
Then we get the best one:
We observed since then, that he could be using his Sympatico account, and have received no reply.
Somehow he thinks we are a business, collecting a comission somewhere?
So, just in case someone thinks, that we aren't doing all we can to protect you from crooks, rest assured, a lot of it happens behind the scenes.
No one should worry about him surviving though, because after all, he makes more in 15 minutes, than we do in a day.
But only because he saves money, by using a Hotmail account...
And, he wanted us to make sure everyone knew about this situation, so consider yourself "told".
I think the key word in his last post, was "steal". (even if he spelled it 'steel')
