DSM VS THEM: Weekend Acomodations - June 26, 2000 04:37 am UTC

With the event about a month away right now, and the race itself being on a Sunday (My B-day as well), I'm planning to go up to London Saturday afternoon or something like that...

I'm sure that there are others comming in from out of town, as well as people from around the area with the same plan.

Maybe someone can suggest a good motel that we could all book into and make a night of the thing. Have a few beers, and throw some shrimp on the barby if you know what I mean. [Linked Image]

Anyone have any suggestions as to where we could get a decent rate if we all book into the same place?
If anyone is interested in this, post here so we get an idea of how many people are interested.

Myself and Michel Brais have reserved for the Comfort Inn in St-Thomas. It's about 3km away from the track. They still have rooms.

we should all be staying at this hotel for that weekend, you don't need a credit card for them to hold your room as long as your there before 4 pm that day.

Great... a night club. Just what I need. Insane bass mixed with enough carcinagins to give me cancer on the spot. [Linked Image]

I'm in for the BBQ Andrew. You did great last year. Can you dip my hamburger pattie in some bacon gravy?

Someone want to call the Hotel and ask if they have a BBQ out back? Some of them do, and you can usually borrow it for free...

Good...
I booked in at the Best western as well... should be a good night.

Does anyone know where in London it is? Wellington Rd runs from the 401 through downtown, and into the university area where there are some great patio bars... Is the Best Western in between the highway and Downtown, or between downtown and the university area?

At any rate, I'll see you guys there Saturday. Let's hope for some good weather.
