Just booked my reservation at the Plantation. Who else is staying there???

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - June 29, 2011 03:14 pm UTC

Eric, mind if I ask what the rate is there this year? How many nights are you staying?

I was always disappointed that we never got to use the pool there, so we booked closer to Cleveland, about 40 minutes to Bushcurr's maybe an hour to the track. Very nice place, though, with INDOOR pool and hot tub smile. We are staying three nights for around $245. + taxes = $285.

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - June 29, 2011 07:00 pm UTC

I'm staying Fri, Sat and Sun nights and it's $197.00 plus Tax: 16.74 = 213.74

Where is the party spot at? I've never been, not sure where to stay?
Posted By: Jason Drew

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - July 26, 2011 01:31 am UTC

Party spot is usually at the Econo Lodge in Norwalk, it gets pretty crazy.

I'll be staying at the Days Inn in Milan, we booked too late to get in at the Econo Lodge.

Staying in Milan; that is not too far from where we are staying. Just a hop skip and a jump from the Huron Plantation

Sounds like a good turnout for the Plantation. Maybe we can all go hang out at Eric's 'Cottage'.
I'll have the SUV there if we want to all go out for dinner and few/many drinks. Seats 8 if you're friendly.

How friendly do we need to be??? Because i have my limits, man. haha

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - August 02, 2011 07:35 pm UTC

Damn....for about 5 years I was the only one staying at the Plantation....so now that I have booked elsewhere, everyone is heading there again frown

Try about 4 hours or so (or more?) after that last year smile

Would be nice to leave early though, settle in after lunch and maybe explore Cleveland on Friday afternoon/evening! (Would love to go to Cedar Lake or whatever the amusement park is there with the awesome rides, but no time)

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - August 05, 2011 02:57 pm UTC

Tah heck with that! Plan is for me to get to the Plantation around 4-5ish, unload, pop hood and crack beer. wink

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - August 05, 2011 03:26 pm UTC

The park is 6 flags cedar point. Has some of the worlds best roller coasters. What time is everyone meeting and what location? Then whats the plan after that?

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - August 08, 2011 01:34 am UTC

This is killing me... I might have to sit this year out guys. Rebuilding the motor in my DSM is costing me way more than I anticipated, and I'm in the bidding process of buying a new house... sadly that's got priority... I'm going to feel it out for the next couple of weeks and see how cash is, but be ready for it. frown

A few of us are leaving from Trenton/Belleville area.

The idea is not to stop everywhere and end up with 20 cars. Maybe you T.O. Guys could arrange your trip; we might hook up on the way or meet there.

^^ Agreed.

Solomon, Giz, Eric, Jamie and myself will be traveling together. If some of you want to meet up with us along the way, go for it.

We're sticking with our "pack" as it were.

And we're leaving at about 8AM. wink

I'm booked at the plantation. I am probably not going to have my talon on the road. I am still waiting for some tig welding on my exhaust to be done, still need a safety, still need alot of things.... Girlfriend says she doesn't want to go in my hyundai haha but it seems like its going to be unavoidable.. Although my goal is to atleast drive mine out of the garage before I leave.

Re: 19th ANNUAL DSM/EVO SHOOTOUT - August 12, 2011 12:35 am UTC

Adam, if you want to send one of us your number we can give you a call as we hit the 401 from Trenton. Shoud be pretty easy to spot us as pass by Colborne.

I can't believe I didn't see any Canadian DSM at Norwalk on Saturday!!! Where were you guys?

I had a chat with the Quebec dudes. They were doing a tranny swap after the 1st gear snapped on their Mirage during the auto-x.
