Short?

This has nothing to do with DSMs but thought maybe one of you can help me. My friend has a 1979 Ford Bronco. The car stumbles whenever the lights are turned on. Battery, alternator check out fine. Could it be a short somewhere or what could it be? Thanks.

Maybe the idle is too low.

We tried the car today and turned on the lights. It will accelerate normal without lights on, will stumble a little with the parking lights and alot when the headlights are on. Still cannot find the problem. Distributor maybe?

I personally would replace the voltage regulator. It's a cheap enough part and that might just solve the problem.
