Studder under boost

Studder under boost - July 29, 2001 01:16 am UTC

Today I changed my oil and spark plug wires, I could do my plugs because I can't find my rachet. Afet check that everything was tight and back together I went out for a spin. It idles fine and drives fine with no boost. But when I got on the gas it starts to hesitate/studder as soon as the boost hits around 3-4000. The boost gauge also just sticks at 5 psi, when I let off the gas I can hear the BOV. SO is it the wires, or could something have come lose when I jack the car up to do the oil. I jacked up both sides and but jack stands under it before working. I can go work on the car right know because It is still warm, I don't want to be climbing under a warm car in the dark.

That's a classic symptom of a bad/loose wire with these cars. It will idle and run fine normally, but break down under boost. Check your wires......
