Looked through posts and couldn't find the answer. I have a 92 TSI AWD and have a leaking rack and pinion. My question is the fwd rack and pinion same as awd seems I cannot find a new/ rebuilt r and p. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Ebay and various sites say they have awd but when I try to purchase get back order notifications.

Looks like they are the same, as the guy mentions in the post manual rack are fwd and plenty of guys have put them in awd.
