Random: Anyone interested in Arcade Machines? - September 26, 2011 04:21 pm UTC

Slightly off forum topic, but I figured I'd throw the question out there anyways.

I used to collect and still own a fair few arcade machines, including a two person sit down racing machine (Final Lap 2).

On the off chance is their anyone on these forums who's into coin-op stuff? I'm trying to make some space/cash for my intake/header/exhaust/rims+tires projects.

Also have a massive inventory of classic video games. From pre Atari on up through the ages. Quite literally everything, fifty + consoles, and thousands of games.

Just throwing it out there, you never know right?

Mods if this sort of thing in unacceptable just let me know or close/lock the thread. Hope I'm not over stepping any bounds by asking.

There are some Playstation and Genesis titles that I'm looking for that you might be able to help me out on. I'll try to pm you a list later on when I get a chance to compare my current collection against the want list.

Sven, the NES collection spans over 100 games currently. A dozen + consoles, a few boxed complete consoles, a top loading NES and even a boxed NES+ Rob Set. So yes...I have NES stuff, lol.

Don't have much in the way of Playstation 1 games, but give it a shot, you never know. I have a small collection (30-40) of Genny games as well.

I can post photos of arcade machines if anyone is genuinely interested, the Final Lap 2 is currently on Kijiji:
http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-electronics-Final-Lap-2-Arcade-Machine-W0QQAdIdZ317121286

Will lower that price to $250 for forum members.

Also, if anyone is feeling wild, I would consider doing a massive trade of arcade machines + console stuff for a car. Talk about your massive shots in the dark, but you never know.

Was that the Street Fighter where you can throw multiple "sonic booms" and fireballs? Or hurricane kick from one end of the screen to the other? I LOVE that version laugh We called it the "pirate" version. I would pay BIG bucks to have that bad boy sitting in my Man Cave *drools*. Many-a-wages will be won and lost.

I have Golden Axe on my Wii that I downloaded online. Talk about "throw back" lol

Re: Random: Anyone interested in Arcade Machines? - September 27, 2011 11:32 pm UTC

@Sven, working on it, there's a lot to look at. I might just take photos of lots and then we can discuss pricing. If he wants it all shipping is going to be a BITCH.

@Michael, I have a Jamma (a very common wiring harness that connects the control panel, to monitor, power, sound etc) cabinet. So if SF2 is your thing, you can buy the board online, plug it into your JAMMA cabinet and go. Unless the actual side art on the cabinet is really important to you.

@Mike - ColecoVision* and yes I have a few of the consoles and a stash of controllers and games. Interested?

tempting, but I have a dsm that ties up a lot of my time and money frown

didn't think one could be found. I remember playing them way back when. smile if it were dirt cheap and not a collectors item price then I would consider it yes.

Chris> Yes! Someone remembers! Haha, and when Ryu goes for a throw he turns into Blanka and starts eating your face and vice versa.
That version was awesome!

Chase> Cool good to know! I'll look into it.

Sorry Jason, I don't have any of these machines.

As it stands I own:

Final Lap 2
Neo-Geo knock off cabinet with a one slot Neo-Geo Motherboard.
Dynamo Cabinet with Neo Geo Marquee and control panel and one slot Neo Geo Motherboard.
Candy cab with a Neo Geo motherboard.
A four slot Big Red Neo Geo cab, that needs a monitor.

I also have a number of JAMMA PCB's that will work in those cabinets, and 15 or so Neo Geo carts.

Re: Random: Anyone interested in Arcade Machines? - October 02, 2011 04:50 pm UTC

You guys would have a field day at my place. I have 4 arcade machines and one of them is a restored SFII Champions Edition Red Z Back 3-Koam cabinet. Even has the serial number from factory still. I converted the internals to a PC so I can play MAME and added a light gun for games such as T2, Area 51 etc. Why not have the best of both worlds right? The look of the real thing with the vesitility of playing all the oldies such as SFII Rainbow Edition wink Thats the "hack" version you guys were reffering to.

My other cabinets are: Operation Wolf, Chase HQ and Continental Circuit.

Chase, let me know if the NEO GEO Jamma is still available. Depending on asking price I would be glad to take it off your hands smile

Re: Random: Anyone interested in Arcade Machines? - October 03, 2011 12:04 am UTC

Well the Final Lap 2 sold today, and all three (or four) of my Jamma cabs set up to play Neo Geo are still for sale. I simply haven't listed them on Kijiji yet. Shoot me a PM and we'll talk some numbers Miguel.

As for everyone else waiting for info, I'm working on it right now and should have some news by the end of tonight.
