So yesterday, was shannonville first test n tune of 2020.

Also first test n tune with the new owners. Which are great! They are giving the track alot more attention. Spraying the drag strip down way more often. It actually felt like a drag strip.. And not a no prep event. Lal

3 dsms represented, Jamie Valcamp, Kenny Wood, and I.. Paul G did a great job in the timing booth!

Jamie and Kenny seemed to have car issues all day. But my car ran solid all day.. Only issue i had was I was loosing boost in the high rpms. And my mph sucked. Best run was 11.66@122mph. Last year I was 11.4@125.dame tune.. They only difference is I'm running a cat. But I'm 100+lbs lighter. Gonna play with a ebc before next race.. Maybe try a side exit.

But all and all.. 10+ hard runs,, and the tranny I just rebiult in my basement held strong all day!! #backyardbuilt

Nice work son! What's your plan for trying to figure this all out? you think your exhaust is choking the turbo?

I don't know.. It could be.. I watched some people test them, and they claimed that a good high flow cat won't bother the exhaust flow untill a certain point. But it feels like it.

I think it depends on what I do. I could use a ebc to try to keep boost up. Or raise the boost so it spikes to 33psi and lowers to like 27.. Then just take a degree out where it spikes to be safe. Either way... If the exhaust is the problem it shouldn't help much..

I don't wanna remove the cat.. I like the mild bolt on idea.

OK, so I ran no exhaust. Just a straight pipe straight down from the turbo like Reza did.

Didn't seem to change anything. The boost still falls off. The car seems to be getting leaner every run. So I'm going to go over the car and redo all the turbo hardwear before the next track day. Maybe fab up a dump for the full exhaust.

Last night at the track.. There were a whole bunch of Honda guys and their hot chiks. It was like the import expo. I was the only dsm.

Best run was a 11.71@120mph. So I think there is a problem causing the car to lean out to 12.1 during the run. And killing my momentum at the top end. It's doin 1.80 60fts, and 7.6 in the 1/8th on a noprep track..
