I picked up a 1990 turbo fwd bellhousing for my 92 fwd turbo. I'm having problems getting the shift shafts/forks to fit properly. Basically the pin on the shift fork/shaft selector is longer than on my 92 bellhousing and because of this my forks cant move past it. Here are two pics with me pointing to the difference in length.

My original thought was to just cut the pin on the 1990 bellhousing to match the length of the pin from the 92, but I dont want to do that and then put it all back togeather and then put the tranny back in and have shifting problems.

Could someone give me some ideas? Or tell me what the differences are between the two bellhousings, or what i should be doin to make it work?
Or should I just look for a 92 bellhousing?
Thanks for your time.
