Advice on Selling:

Be clear and honest up front. Honesty is the best policy. Even if the item you are selling, isn't the nicest or prettiest, or best model out there, eBay has shown us one thing... that there are at least 10 people out there int he world, that still want your hunk of junk. wink

So, issue a quote. If you're posting an Ad, (like on here or on eBay) explain all the details, give the terms, who is responsible for shipping costs, and what you will warranty it for, and how.

While some of this is usually figured out during the offer and negotiation phase, there is nothing that says you can't write it all out again, once the two of you have agreed on the final price, terms, and shipping.

Send them that detailed quote, and have them send you something back, agreeing to it. Best thing for them to send you then, is a little mini-puchase-order, listing your quote#, and agreeing to purchase it, under your listed terms.

Again, it sounds a little troublesome, but if the guy turns out to be a bonehead, and has either bought the wrong thing, or broken it after receiving it, etc.... you have a leg to stand on, in an effort to keep any money that has changed hands, or enact any terms that you listed for product returns. (ie: covering return shipping, etc)
