Looking at buying some used Ebiach they are 1.7
I have a 92 Awd.

Wondering will this clear my 225 60R16 tires?

Although mine is 2G, but I also have the Sportsline that drops 1.7. I used either my 215/55/16(stock size) or 225/45/17 rims and tires and they are clsoe to my fender. Your 225/60/16 is around 5-6% larger than your stock one, I can imagine your tire will be very close to rub. But I'm not sure for your 1g. Hope someone else can give you more details.

Hows the ride Fai, and did you use stock shocks or upgrades? How do they change the handling? How are curbs?

The picture i put up of my car in the everything section show my car on sportlines with 225/50/16 tires and i can tell you theres like a 0.5-1in of room from the suspension. A 60 series tire is alomst an inch taller, i don't think it will fit.

I used Gab before but it's too stiff (even at softest setting) so I use the stock shocks for now. Handling/cornering are still much better than stock spring no matter what.

Thank you mike and Fai. Very helpful. I really had hoped my 60 series would fit. I really like these tires in the winter.

Hey nathan, if your having problems with your winter tires and still want to drop your car then you might want to go with some smaller rims and tires.. i have a set laugh they are Nokia Hakkapalitas 205/60R15 mounted on steelies. the are a little smaller then hte stock rim and tire, PM me if anything alright?

I have a 2" drop on my 1G and everything fits fine with 16" tires on the stock wheels. I have seen people run 17" with a 2" drop. You'll be fine.

Well I have a set of stock NT rim that are sized 205 195 R15. They have winter tires on them.
I just really like the wide tread pattern of my 225 60 r16s. They are all season Eagle GPS's but they shed snow and slush like no tomarrow.
