I'd like to help you but I got a 1G 2.0L NT.
I think that your engine is the same as the NEON. (If your car is a NT)
I think you are on the right track with your intake. Try to do something with the MAF (If your car has one) I know it helped on mine.
Headers would help too. I just ordered mine today ;~)
Wish you the best. http://www.lks.net/~ghislisa/

Try out www.neons.org. They might be of real good help, since you share the same engine as them, and some of them have quite a bit of experiance in modding them.

From what I remember reading, the 2G NT's have the same block as neons or the neons have the same block as the 2G NT's..however you want to look at it...but the head is much different.
http://www.ArcherRacing.com
has headers (on sale) for the NT but they are for the 1G only...

Ghislain, where did you get your headers from? How much?

They are Pace Setters (I know they are not the best in town) I payed $265 with tax. How much did you pay for you Archer???

I should be putting them on by the end of March. I'll repaint them. I will also replace my head gasket as it leaks some oil and it is *&%#ing me off, Polishing the intake manifold, throttle body and the cam angle sensor.

Sorry Ghislain I might have already asked you this, but how did you mod your MAF? Were there any negative results?

Yes, I had a slight negative result. The mix (Air/Fuel) was a little lean in "Close Loop" I got rid ot this unwanted condition by removing the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator. This way there was an extra 10 PSI of fuel available in the fuel rail to compensate for the extra air. I had to lower the Idle too.

Visit my web page it explains a bit what I did to the ride. http://www.lks.net/~ghislisa/

I plan to install a "Variable Resistor" to the "Air Temperature Sensor". I will try with a .01 to 10K ohms. It is suppose to tell the ECU that more air (Cold air is denser...)is getting to the combustion chamber. I'll post my findings here and on my web page whenever I get to it. Probably in a month from now.

Hope this helps. (I'll be gone for the week-end)

I havn't bought the archer headers, but they have them on sale for USD$299, regular is USD$399

Is that $265 in Canadian dollars? Where did you get those?

Ok, check a couple older posts, and read:
"You can get a Pacesetter header from Canadian Tire for about $220 cdn."

Yes, it is $265 canadian bucks, tax included. I guess you have until tomorrow to get them for this price. Pace Setters had a sale on this week I did say that in one of my post. Look under the "Airbox=restriction" Forum.

I had them price checked last year at Crapy Tire and they were $255 canadian bucks plus tax$???

The shop I'm getting it from is called "Sparky's Rod & Costom" it's in Trenton Ontario.

I'll be gone for a few day. Back Monday night.

Ghislain.
