I got an alignment done about 2 weeks ago. Most shops i caled wouldnt work on a lowered car but this shop had a great lift and they took their time and did a good job

Jmk Service
21-266 Rutherford Road South, Brampton, ON L6W 3X3
Telephone : 905-463-1028

$90 flat for a 4 wheel slignment. He even put shims to correct rear camber

This was a good thing to post.
It's damn hard to find an alignment shop that will work well with (or even take in) a lowered car and/or aftermarket rims/suspension.

I ended up here when nobody else would take me:

White Line Auto Centre
6190 Atlantic Dr, Unit 8, Mississauga, ON
Telephone : 905-670-7736

It was about $120 but I was on their rack for over two hours.

Thats not bad either. It's nice when someone else shows your car some TLC like you would. He gave me almost 2hrs on the lift.

Hopefully my new tires wont look like my last ones now.

Woodbridge Alignment is also a good choice for lowered cars. They have pits, and dont use a full lifts. Also, pricing is quite reasonable.

Why don't you guys go to Kipling Tire?.. They did my car all the time. They have clients that drive in with Porsche's, Audi's, and other fast cars, so they have no problem working on low cars and do a great and quick job.

Loyalty is a good thing once you find somebody that isn't a hack.

GTA Wheel & Tire Zone
http://www.wheelandtirezone.com/index.asp

Islington South exit off of the Gardiner @ Queensway.

I've been using them for years. Never a problem and they've always dealt with the autoslalom crowd so non-standard settings is not an issue.

It's even better now since being a member of spda-online.ca gets you alignments for $50.

Woodbridge is also a good one along with Can-Alignment in Milton.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead. But I have to get an alignment done. Rob, I tried calling White Line Auto, but apparently that number you posted is wrong..?

Map shows that the place is right around my work so it'd be best for me to go there.

That number has been in my phone for years, so maybe it's changed or the shop is gone now. Crap that's a while, maybe I need another alignment too shuffle

I just made an appointment to get my alignment done at Level Auto:

http://www.levelauto.com

So we'll see how its goes. Their supposed to not have a problem with lowered vehicles & their equipment is supposed to be pretty good/current. Plus looks like they keep a nice clean shop. I was planning on going to Woodbridge Alignment but after a quick google seach I came across more then one person with negative things to say about them (outdated equipment, not that thats always a bad thing, doing alignments on vehicles with broken suspension parts, have to go back 2 or 3 times to get thing right, etc). This place had good reviews from the limited searching I did & looks like base rate is $90 for a 4 wheel alignment.

Daren,

I've heard good things about them. A friend of mine is good friends with the guys that run the place. No personal experience though.

I'd recommend them, nice clean shop. Seemed to be "car guys" working there that take care of your vehicle. Alignment rack was extremely sensative, even the smallest tweek & the machine would pick up the change. So should be a pretty descent alignment but I guess the real test is when the tires are almost pootched & if they still look good (but since I have new tires, I won't know that for awhile yet)

I highly recommend Scot from Can Alignment:

http://can-alignment.com/

Tell him Angelo/Ahmed sent you with the silver 240.

This guy knows his suspension stuff... He did corner balancing and fine tuning of my track car's alignment. He's an old school guy with a passion for racing so he knows his thing smile He also does fab work, cages, etc.. etc..

Sweet going to book an appointment ASAP.

I've gotta do an emissions test as well.

Maybe I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone all in that one area.

Thanks Johnny for the link!

Any place that will set the rear toe and camber to your specs is good in my books, or atleast if they tell you that they tried to adjust them and they are seized.

Most shops will charge you for a 4 wheel alignment, when all they do is straighten the steering wheel and adjust the front tie rod ends. Once your front wheels are straight you may not even realize that they didn't even adjust the rears. Best is to ask about the rears, especially on a DSM.

I want to reduce the camber on my rears. It's not too bad, but I know my rear toe is about .5 + .5 out of spec. Tires are wearing because of the camber and the tow I'd imagine.
Anyone know the size of the washers needed off hand?

Wow so friendly on the phone!

Nice lady picked up and told me I'm good to go for 11:30am tomorrow!

I'll let you guys know how it goes, and I'll ask about the rears when I'm there.

Edit: Oh you don't have to print out the coupon by the way, she said it's a walk-in special as well.

You should still be there by the time I get there. So I'll see ya there buddy!

Sorry Michael, you're on your own tomorrow frown I've decided seeing as I'm getting an alignment it's a good time to throw on that Evo Steering wheel that's acting like a fancy paperweight wink Might as well get that centered as well.

Just thought I'd say that this shop was top notch!

Friendly receptionist, friendly mechanics, very clean, and very transparent, you can see the whole workshop area at all times due to huge windows.

Highly recommend.

Not sure how long my car was up on their equipment for, maybe 45mins to an hour-ish?

I was busy talking to this guy who has a 92 FWD TSI. He's thinking about joining the board.

Car's driving nicely now, no more pull to the left. smile

Awesome!! I look forward to heading there. I moved my appointment because I would like to get that Evo wheel on there, and fab up some rear toe arms for the GSX before getting it all aligned and what not.
