This is something that has started on DSMTalk and DSMLink, I thought it would be nice to bring it to Club DSM Canada.

The thought is, if you need little stuff, and I mean little stuff like the odd clamp, bolt etc. post it up here and see if someone has it. The post was "If anyone needs little stuff, and I mean little stuff, post it here and I'll gladly pay it forward."

So, in saying that, I have a big bucket of bolts in my basement, a 2G parts car and some other random small parts/components from a 1G.

This is done in hopes of helping one another in the community get their cars together faster!

I need the harnesses from the stock fans both rad and condenser.

I chopped em off to hard wire a different fan setup. Then one fan took a crap. Bought new fans and they are setup with the clips I laughed when I saw it. Was like damn. Don't want to chop this one up If I don't have to. LMK if someone can snip them off ( a little extra wire to solder would be nice there too)

I got a bunch of bolts, a brand new rear main seal for a 2g awd! umm stock cams some other stuff!

The 92 rotors are for single piston calipers and the 98 rotors are for 2 piston calipers.

I also have stock 92 front brake lines and stock 98 brake lines.

Hmm.. I could really use a breather hose (between the left side of the valve cover and intake tube), if anyone's got one laying around?

Well, I take it since the first weekend of April has already gone by, you mean the first weekend of May? tongue

That would be cool, I'm possibly going to be in the fishing derby all that weekend, but we'll talk closer that time and see! Unless Jay's got one that's not all the way in Marmora! haha

I've got an ISC here, I think. I'll have to double check. You can have it for $20+shipping.

Great idea and all but isn't this the same as using the WTB WTS forums and listing things as free? smirk

I'm just sayin' smile

@Brian, I think I might have the rear diff bolt. How soon do you need it. I'm doing a rear swap in about a week or two so you can have the bolt then.

I'm going to be at Ziggy's on Tuesday.

It's for a 2G.

I think this is a great idea. Would we be able to go one step further and creat a sub-forum for this. It can be called FreeCycle or something like that.

URGENT!!

I need 3 things.

Front Motor Mount for a 1G AWD. Will pay if it's prothane or something. We have the inserts, they aren't going to work as our powdercoat guy melted/punched out the center.

Also need 2 14b/16G style COOLANT banjo bolts. BOTH bolts. This is stopping us from getting the turbo on and we can't prime the motor!

Just make sure they take a 22mm wrench, not a 19mm.

Did you find the motor mount? Is it the one by the timing belt or the front of the car by the rad? I got both, i believe, if you don't mind waiting a few days for them via post from Alberta.

Want one that squeals? Lol. It *does* hold a charge.. just... squeals. Was told that the its the alternator bearings.

Not sure how long it will last, but I drove with it for over a week and it was fine.

Hey guys!

I figure this is a long shot, but I might as well post this up here.

I am putting together a team for the ChumpCar world series next year. I will be using a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD, and trying to do us proud! I had previously done some races with a local in his Dodge Neon, but decided I wanted to build my own car.

I am asking if you guys have anything to donate to the cause, I would be extremely grateful!

Just to give you an idea of some things that we need:

Control Arms, Spare 3 bolt rear axles, 2g Dual Piston Calipers, 1g Rear Calipers, etc

as well as engine parts like spare 450cc injectors, fuel line from filter to rail, stock MAS, Stock Intake Manifold, Stock 2g Exhaust Manifold, etc.

Any parts that you guys feel are just kicking around that you wouldnt mind donating to the cause would be fantastic. Obviously I know I am stretching the limits of this thread with this request, but hey, worth a shot right?

Thanks guys,

Garret.

I would just like to thank Andrew Trapp and Mike Kuttschrutter for their support so far! I really appreciate the contributions they have made towards getting this car ready for ChumpCar!

I keep forgetting to take pictures when I go work on the car, but I plan on starting a build thread here for all to see, and hopefully that will force me to start documenting the build better.

Hey, sorry Mike I didnt look at this section for months. I appreciate the offer, but sadly, we would get penalized for running an aftermarked intercooler. Ridiculous I know, but they see it as a performance enhancement.

I am wondering if anyone has any factory stereo mounting brackets for a 1g. I need one for my winter car, someone decided to help themselves to my stereo. I have a spare bezel and a spare stereo, but I dont have the brackets that you screw to the stereo, then to the dash to hold it in place. If anyone has I would really appreciate that.

Thanks,

Garret.

It's ok. I still actually have that fmic in my garage rafters.

Did the crooks damage anything getting into the car?

Sucks big time! sorry to hear Garret.

Nah, this car was left unlocked apparently on my parents driveway for the past year or so. not even sure when it happened to be honest. Thankfully looks like someone was at least kind enough to bring their own screwdriver haha. They didnt just yank the stereo out, they actually removed it.

Im not to hearbroken, its been broken for almost a year with a blown transmission and I just didnt have the motivation to fix it untill recently. The stereo was probably 5 years old or more, and only worth maybe $40.

Do you still need an intake manifold? I believe I have one in my parents garage. You're in Regina though... and it's pretty heavy... Hmm..

If you don't want it, and someone else does - feel free to take it away.

I am looking for a single good condition exhaust valve. Im sure someone has upgraded and still has a few used valves kicking around? This car I bought has one burnt valve and that looks like all it would take to get it back on the road.

Thanks,

Garret.

Hey jay..
[Linked Image]

That turbo in the back... Is that the big 16g? I ask because of that oil return line I see has me salivating. Mine is leaking oil where the return line and oil pan meet so I'm changing both.

Let me know if we can work somethin out!

Thanks a lot!

A big THANKS ! to who ever out there , spontaneously offered a pair of gas struts to my wife while she was out and about on errands this morning. She was driving my red 2G in Mississauga.

Your random act of kindness is just inspiring, I'll be sure to do the same.
