Another shameless plug for Costco, their Torin low profile jack is a new colour (black) and regular priced now at $94.99. And it's a 3 ton.

Just get the CT one, it's lower than the Torin isn't it?

Lower doesnt matter to me. If the car is too low you just drive it onto 2x10 first. I have never had a low pro jack.

Why can't I find any specs on the one sold from Costco?

This is the only one on their site.

I've got the mini me version of that black jack low profile jack. It's handy for roadside.. But that's it.

I'll have to check this is out.

My 10 year old 3 ton I think is due to be replaced.

Thanks for posting Mark!

Mike just get the seals professionally replaced if you like the jack you have already.

FYI-Always use jack stands with these jacks that use cheap China seals smile

I have had one of my 3.5 tonne jacks rebuilt with Quality seals for more than I bought the jack for.

It works fine. Most durable jack I've owned. It's not low profile and like Stephen said, driving up onto 2x4's is the only way to use it... It gets old. I'll retire it to the mdx only.

Good to know Reza.

Although, I think you'd need to be completely retarded to use any hydraulic jack without stands.

Even if it has upgraded seals lol

I have found these cheap Jacks to be good for a few years, then they start to leak. Problem is that all the shavings in them from the machine process are not completely cleaned out. Couple that with cheap seals and they are bound to get nicked and leak eventually.

I have the black jack from Costco. Its worked very well for me and I use it on my truck and charger which aren't light vehicles. I bought it a few years ago for $100

Hey sorry I didn't realize anyone replied to this thread. Here's a pic I took a few days ago:

[Linked Image]

It's sort of like the link that someone posted above but without the nascar stickers and whatnot. I don't know why it's not on the costco website... item # is 415090, you can just call your local store to check stock.

Low height is 3.75" (ctc jack is 2.75" so a bit lower).

You should always use jack stands with any jack and block the tires unless you like getting crushed or rolled over by a car.
