From my experience, MAP sensors should always be above the intake manifold, so that gravity does not let any fluids sit in it. My old VPC had a map sensor filter and instructions stated that it needs to be installed above intake manifold.
I've had my Omni 4 bar mounted on the top part of the firewall for years now with no issues. I spray meth and have my PCV valve re-circulate oil back into the intake.
Never had a MAP sensor problem here.

Well I just had another failure,
Reza, I tried a filter inline before the shootout last year, but it changed the way the car drove, I didn't want to frack around with the tune anymore.
This time it was hard to catch the problem. Finally, With the engine off, noticed the sensor was reading 12KPA lower than it should be at atmospheric pressure. My STFT's were maxing out at idle and 2500 when I was trying to do an etest. Odd thing was, the sensor still worked, it would sweep throught the ranges as I drove the car.
Swapped in a spare. BAM 99KPA, back in business.
Stock.

Still no issues with the Omni 4 bar I'm running, MDP style, with an adapter and push lock hose connecting to the manifold, it's zip tied to the wiring harness, not directly mounted.
I know some oil pressure sensors don't deal will with vibration, I wonder if this may be a factor here.
