Are we aloud to race the "Test n tunes" or just the "take it to the track nights?

I should be good for either Sunday or the 24th, but I work on the 17th. It might end up depending on weather though; I'd say if it looks good on the 17/18 weekend then go for it.

I'll be good for any Sunday as well, once I find the right alternator belt. I'll also be taking the car off the road around mid October, depending on the weather.

I can't believe how far Cayuga is, didn't realize til last month. Would be awesome if they'd build a proper strip at Mosport. They have the land and funding to do so.

Well boys, thanksgiving weekend is upon us. AND the weather is supposed to be perfect Saturday through Monday. Is anyone else interested in going?

So far, Jerry, maybe Tim, myself and two of my buddies are going to be going.

I'd love to go but Thanksgiving proceedings are consuming most of my weekend. Wish it was nicer out today; tonight would be a good night to race when there's no events going on. I find most Friday nights lately the line is quick as hell.

I might make it down for a few passes on Monday, it will depend on how early I need to be in Scarborough.

If anyone else cares to join in the cruise down on Monday, Jerry, Deep, my cousin with his truck and me will be going as a group.

Jeremy, you totally should come. Last year, there were 3 cars there other than me.

Ended up bogged down with work, but I'm hoping to go next weekend at some point, weather depending. Looking at either Friday night or Sunday. No event next weekend; might be a bit less busy.

A sad 12.0 that is completely my fault. Was insanely busy. Jerry only went once and my cousin didn't even bother to run his truck.

Jerry ran an 11.1 with a 2.1 60' and a really good MPH too.

Still good numbers. Just need to work out little bugs and you'll be alright tu If i recall correctly, u ran 11.5 last year on stock 7 bolt?

It wasn't a stock 7 bolt, I didn't find out until the winter that it was a built block. But I kept the boost low enough to be safe on a stock block.

There's definitely lots of bugs to work out, and the 2g intake manifold really goes against where the rest of the engine wants to flow frown.

Did you say you're taking a stroker to 9.5k? Is this a 2.3L stroker?

When I ran my first 10.7 pass I didn't need to rev over 8.5k. Stock block, stock head(only bc 272 cams), stock trans, and stock intake manifold. However that was a pretty mild street setup which didn't need to be revved high at all.

I was thinking the same, stroker should have a good usable power band, no?

Yes, it's 2.3 stroker 10.5:1 cr , I rev 9k for past 3 years with no problems . I need that extra 500 RPM because I'm auto too & last time I simply run out of RPM before traps so I switched to neutral .

You've been revving to 9k for 3 years with no problems? That's impressive because I know the rod angle on the 2.3 strokers is absolutely awful. 9.5k is even more impressive. I know Kiggly has taken them to 11k but he also had/has custom crankshafts and other stuff made and specially weighted/balanced just to do that.

I'm curious to know more about your engine build...2.3L 10.5:1 CR sounds intense as is. I'd think you'd be better off with a taller tire than a higher rev limit, even if you are auto, especially if you're not even hitting a 10s pass yet.

Well my tire is 26 inch tall & I did 10s already (full interior) . As for the strokers there is a guy on link forum that was reving 9.5k for 4 years 45psi& 170 nos (eagle rods )but this year he stretched one rod so he has build 2.0 & no go ,he is going back to stroker . This is my setup (95 eagle talon 2.3 auto mahle pistons 10.5 cr eagle rods ,1400cc 3 nozzle pure meth injection, pte 6466 gen2 top mount t4 TS 1.15 turbo, injector dynamics 2000cc, hks 272 cams , walbro 450 fuel pump -8 in-6out, fully ported head 1mm over valves, kiggly springs , magnus intake, fmic ,s90 70 mm tb,full3 inch exhaust (sd gm iat aem 5 bar map)( 94 octane fuel with evo 8 ralliart map boosting 42 psi) full interior 10.95@ 119.88 MPH) No slicks yet .
