Anyone have good recommendation for sound systems in a 1g? No need for external amp. Just want crisper and deeper sound for Dance/Techno/Trance (yeah I'm one of those :p).
Will be sound deadening it a little to improve cabin sound (both sheltering from outside and keeping it in). Just tired of the mismatched speakers in it now.
Same question for the 2g, although this one is best sound/best quality. Could infinity still deliver on their higher spectrum?

Speakers are a very personal choice, my advise would be go to a few dealers in your area & figure out what you like.
Not sure what their speaker's are like but recently I swapped to a Kenwood Excelon deck & amp (tiny class D 4 ch) & have been very impressed. I always overlooked Kenwood as back in the day (when I was big into car audio close to 20 years back), they weren't anything special. Alpine, Pioneer, etc were the brands to have. To my ears, the recent Kenwood stuff is far superior to those brands.
Not really much into car audio anymore (too much of a compromise) but big into home audio. My biggest recommendation would be add as much sound deadening as you can. It does make a huge difference (especially in these rattle traps) & it doesn't matter how much you spend on speakers, they will still sound like crap if the install isn't good.

The front door speakers in the 300 died (and they provide the most bass in the system), When I pulled them out I expected hefty 8 inch woofers, but turns out, Cheap Looking 6x9 Boston Acoustic.
I replaced them with JVCs from walmart for 60$
Slight loss of bass, but negligible. The design of enclosure and proper power to the speaker is key.

Gui I have had good luck in my vehicles with the Sony explode decks before. Although never put one in my talon. They have a built in 50 watt amp or so. My talon has a Kenwood excel on and it sounds great but was much more expensive.
