I think you just need to make sure the spline matches. Just bring your impact and test it.

Also, aren't you legally allowed to take your airbag off (kid in kid seat, personally if you don't believe it's safer to have a bomb explode in your face)? I have heard of people passing because they unhooked it completely but still have the wheel inside. I ask because I know for the 2g, SRS light can come on just for the fun of showing you it exists

I get that, but what if the SRS light isn't on, simply because it's not connected, or off (like the newish cars that can turn them off on some seats with the touch of a button)? Not trying to be annoying, just nice to have a concrete answer by someone who has to apply these laws.
