The eclipse nameplate has taken a downward spiral for almost 2 decades now and when Mitsubishi finally decided end production of the sport coupe some 5 years ago it seemingly went unmissed by a majority of dsmers. It's absence only left a window of hope that they may someday revive the coupe in an appropriate performance form. Since this is kind of old news already a lot may already have seen this, so it's seems Mitsubishi felt the need to use the eclipse name for their new upcoming crossover suv. It's no secret that Mitsubishi has been gearing away from all their sport oriented vehicles to the point that they are non existent now. I suppose that by adding "Cross" behind the name it still leaves a window however unlikely for a "coupe" version in the future.

Mind you I'm quite fine owning my old cars 😄and this crossover actually has some appealing features for a buyer in the mid size SUV market!

Yeah and my buddy talked to Mitsu at the auto show and this is probably the last year of the lancer as well.
