Not my block but I did all the machine work on it. (I feel a sense of ownership after so many hours invested into it wink )

Property of Brightside Customs. (Mike Degli Angeli), blocks turned out amazing. frack paint. Powder is the sh!t.

A few last shots of my bottom end in there as well before I take it up to the car to begin the transplant.

Nice pics of the blocks Rob!

The wrinkle red one which is mine is going to be a 8:1 2.3L. Not going for max power but rather a nice wide powerband that can take a 30min road race session without causing harm.

Assembly to follow as soon as I decide on the set of rods i want to buy!

The powder looks awesome on the blocks and really does put painted blocks to shame in comparison and hte durability is unmatched.

So whats the completetion ETA on the build Mike, 2015? tongue

Looking good, but why such low compression? I would think 9:1 would be a better option? My bottom is ~8.8:1 & on straight 94 (meth off), I can run 23-24psi, no problem. Thats still with 15deg or so of timing up top.

Believe you have abit of an uphill battle Rob, think Mike's origional ETA on the Talon was 2.5 years ago now rotate

Mikes just trying to be origional, by the time his Talon is up & running, it will be the only one left on the road rotflmao

Edit: In Mikes defense, he does have one of the cleanest 1G shells around tu

I "think" since we have been collaborating, his inspiration is back, he's spent a good chunk of money in the last few months, and more work has been accomplished in the last few months than over the past few years,

I have faith smile

This august wil be 5yrs since it ran.........i'll take the cristism lol. I want it to run soon

Now i just need Reza to chime in with a smart a$$ remark

Same excuse. Life is busy, Brightside is growing, career is going well and the car took the back seat.

I want a track car to beat the crap out of at the track as I'm starting feel bad for the Mini after a track day.

Mark, I even deleted the column out of my spreadsheet that shows how much i could part it out for!

Rob got me motivated again to get it done and also got me motivated to create even more projects for it. Even though the motor will be pretty it can only sit on the engine stand for so long....

Reason for 8:1. Couple reasons, room for error in tune, take a beating for longer at elevated temps on the road course and because i got BNIB Magnus spec stroker pistons for $250.

I feel you Mike, DSM's are getting boring now. Atleast for me.

Your not missing out, and atleast you have the mini to race.
Much more things to do in life, than stupid DSM's, lol !

It wouldn't even surprise me if you finally decided to sell it.

All depends on product. I can name some pretty amazing fluid coatings wink Good preparation is key for either.

The Mini is a blast and has spoiled me. Its getting a custom aquamist meth injection system in it this spring....once the warranty is up of course. Can't wait to install it! CSCS Street class is summer!

Well stop bolting on parts and take on a real project!

Bolting on bought parts does get boring. Creating something yourself and it working out is what excites me.

Who would of thought there is more to life than cars...huh i must be growing up. Thank God a Mint 1g Shell is only worth like $1500 tops... haha

Better off checking EvoM, most of the Evo owners hate these and love to get rid of them.

I'm with Rob, those are really nice rims. I love 6 spokers. Can't look at 5 spokes the same anymore (except the stock GSX rims), I just see starfish...

Jason, your car looks beautiful as always.

Are you still running summer tires, 'cause doesn't look like too much grip or handling for an AWD. I remember my first snow fall last winter I had no grip on the worn out summers I had.

Ya, it has summer tires, and there is a sheet of ice under the snow from all the freeze/thaw/rain we've had this winter.

Jason your cars does look awsome. You can hear the ice under the snow as you are trying to grab traction.

Who runs snows on a AWD anyways? Especially since yours should be in the garage.
