Hey guys. Looking for some help.

I know the 93+ fwd axles are larger on these cars.
Can anyone tell me if the actual inside of the axle cup that fits over the CV is larger? Or the same size, and cups are swappable.

If the axle bar and cv are actually larger, if someone could measure that would be awesome. 😁

That would be great. Easiest thing to measure is probably the end of the axle bar where the splines are.

(Just looking to see if another cv can slide on the axle bar. Or if I can slide different cups on.)

Thanks Mike

I'll try to remember to do it tonight. Send me a text as a reminder.

I have both early and late 1G FWD examples. You just want the OD of the shaft before the splines that go in the diff?

Can you post a pic with a line over what you want measured?

either end will work for the axle bar.

Ah, I'll need to see if I have one that's separated or if I can separate it.

Apppreciated Rob,

Mike had new axles and I don't blame him for not wanting to pull them apart.

If its too much of an issue, don't worry about it.

No prob. I know I have one pair that I want to keep together as they will be going into service. This hinges on if I have more in the pile. I'll take a peek in the garage tonight.
