So with spring around the corner, I thought it would be nice to have a DSM gathering/Dyno day/BBQ at my shop. Unfortunately I could not hold one last year due to my very busy schedule, no complaints!

This year I'd like to hold one exclusively for my fellow Canadian DSM members and another one for the Evo community There will be free BBQ for everyone, BYOB, and we would also like to get some dyno pulls in for everyone to enjoy.

I was thinking sometime in May would be ideal, but let me know what your thoughts are? We all know the Canadian DSM scene is dying, but I try my best to keep it alive!

Let me know who's interesting in coming, when your DSM may be running, or when might be a better time for me to hold this event. There are not many active members here now, so I'd definitely like to see how many members are interested and can possible come down in their DSMs

Car-wise, I'm daily driving my new purple one in stock form so it's good to show up. However, I hope to have swapped in my built motor by May so the timing would be good for a dyno tune!

If there is not enough to do a DSM BBQ, maybe you could combine it with the EVO day?

19th is arm drop weekend. So mostlikely not a good weekend for us.

And I still think you should bring that white 1g out to arm drop to beat on some demons.

June 2nd is my B-day so works for me too I'd be in no matter the date. With one of my 3 DSMs...or maybe..all 3 if I can finish everything I need to.

Not sure on timing/dates and I doubt the Talon will be out, but I'm sure there are a lot of people curious what a bone-stock '92 Laser RS FWD will put down after almost 30 years and (closing in on) 300k.

What is the details on dynos?

I would love to come down with the Talon, especially since pneumonia stopped me from making it to the last one. It'd have to be later in May or early June for me though; I'm trying to finish my thesis before the summer semester starts so I won't even be able to get a wrench on the car until mid-May at the earliest.

If it's earlier, I'll still try to make it down in the Honduh.

Thanks for the responses guys! Seems like it can be a good enough turn out to keep it DSMers only. If I invite the Evo guys, it might get too packed 😁 Looks like early June will work for everyone.

In regards to the dyno, I don't plan on tuning any cars that day. We will probably just throw on some random cars maybe 3 or 4 to do some HP pulls for everyone to enjoy 😊 I'll probably leave it to you guys to figure out who wants to put their car on the dyno. If everyone wants to do a dyno pull, I will just do a raffle 😊

How much for dyno.. if I can get some good tuning in before the BBQ. . I'll prolly give it a go.

You know my prices Jay. My rates are $100/hour for dyno pulls, no limit to # of pulls, I'm just the dyno operator here and you can tune it in between pulls. If you want me to tune it for you $400 flat rate

I am not sure yet if I can make it, but I hope we are welcome even if we don't have a DSM?
