I found a mouse nest under the intake grate for the blower just behind the window wiper motor. It doesn't seem like the grate can be removed so I might be forced to tackle it from the inside. The only way I could see the nest originally was by sticking my mechanic's camera down through the grate.

What are my options here? Do I have to remove the whole dash to get at it or could I go through just the glove box hole maybe? Any ideas are appreciated!

Couldn't you just do this and take off that piece?

Or am I missing something here...

I removed that piece but the mouse nest is actually down the HVAC intake hole which is behind the wiper motor. In the intake duct there is another plastic grate that prevents me from being able to access the nest from the top.

I did a bit more research today and it looks like I may be able to remove the blower motor and go up through the ducting with a clothes hangar that way. I’m not familiar with the ducting setup so I don’t know if that would lead to the right spot.

For reference here is a picture of the hole that leads down into the HVAC intake, if you reach your hand in there you'll find a plastic grate that doesn't seem to be removable, the mouse nest is about 3 or 4 inches under that grate, inside the duct.

Pretty sure you have to remove the blower unit housing. Unless you can see it through the recric door.

dude... Pull everything and disinfect it with bleach and water.
Having dealt with mice before, I would be pulling the whole dash out so I could properly disinfect all of the vents and the blower housing.

Where they live, they piss and sh!t. You don't want to be breathing that in.
