Hey. Coming home from school last night, I was leaving a stop sign (slowly as it was very icy) and heard a loud "BANG" from the rear end. Then as I started driving away, there's this popping noise coming from the rear end somewhere. The car felt very hard to steer. I checked the fluid level in the rear diff and it's full, just really black and gross. I also have the Limited Slip Differential. I need answers quick, since I have no way of getting to school now.

When I blew up the rear end on my Stang, it was easy to diagnose. I took the cover off, and broken gears fell out . ------------------ Fast & Awesome Handling '90 AWD $h!tbox

Don't know if you guys caught the new topic I posted, but the rear end was fine. Turns out the center shaft shaved it's splines off by rubbing up against the other shaft and just eventually blew. ------------------ Dan Aho 1991 Eagle Talon AWDBoosting on the flatlands
