I may buy some race gas this weekend to go to luskville. Does anyone know of a good place to buy some here in Ottawa?

When I need racing fuel I go to W.O. Stinson Gas on Highway 31 just past Leitrim rd. another is the Drummonds on Bronson and Chaimberland near the Queensway.

So are you planning to race this weekend at Luskville?

Yeah,

I am planning on it. But am not sure yet. I have 91500km on the car and have not done the timing belt yet and am worried I may put un-due stress on the belt and make it drop since it is time to change it.

Reza,

Let me know when you plan on purchasing the parts and having someone in YOW install it.
I think I'm gonn'a have mine done as well although I'm early. I don't trust these things. I had one gomon my old AWD at 60Km!

Ed,

I just ordered the part from Tallahasee and made an appointment to have it done at Robson on May 30th. Robson is charging $375 for labour.

Jay, the #$*&@ are you doing on the web at 3:00AM?

I think it was one or two of the Ottawa DSM crowd that said they had "negative" experiences with them. I've never used them myself as I always got too high a price for anything they quoted on servicing.
Anybody else out there with Robson experience. Thumbs up or down Romans?

I'm getting mine done next week at speedstyle and Eric gave a pretty good price for parts and labour. I'm also getting the front rotors and the pads on all four corners done and he gave me a pretty good price on the package deal. The people I talked too, how had it done there where happy with the work. I have a friend who got stuffed priced at robson and they where a bit expensive, but I hear the work is very good.

HELLLLLOOOOO OTTAWA!!!

For what it is worth, I had the timing belt done on my 2g at Speedstyles based on the advice of John Armas. The labour charge was $300 beans. Aside from a problem with the crank-angle sensor (which Eric fixed at no cost) the work was done well.

Robson Racing has a very good reputation in Ottawa. They are very expensive and prefer to do projects ... in other words, leave a blank cheque and tell me how fast you want your car to go. They have been reasonably successful at cornering the 'elite' performance markets around Ottawa. All the guys who want to modify Porches and NSXs will go there. They are very competent - but you gotta pay for it.

When it comes to replacing a timing belt on DSM - I am sure that no one has more experience than Eric at Speedstyle, however but both can do it.

My Robson vote:
Robson quality of work: 2 thumbs up
Robson labour costs: 2 middle-fingers up (or 2 thumbs down)

From sunny San Francisco,
Graham
