The only Sunday free for an April meet is the 18th. The 4th is Yorkdale, the 11th is Easter, Saturday the 24th is Mitsubishi KW and the following Sunday is May 2nd Yorkdale again.
Josh and I checked out Barangas, talked to the owners and they are more than willing to block off parking and entertain us. However, the patio, bands and beach are aren't open until May.
So we were thinking of going to the Queens Head (Royal Felatio) again.
Any interest?
Cheers Tony & Josh

off topic- Tony this is not the announcements section like you told me to check in your e-mail anyway- yes it will be barangas in May. But we are really looking foreward to have more guys and new faces. Even though it will be another sit and chat before we are able to kick it and take it easy on the patio. But please post if you are going to join us! Thanks again guys! Ziggy we are just teaching an old guy new tricks!

I've made reservations for us at the Queens Head (Royal Felatio) for Sunday 18th, April at 1:00PM just in case there is an invasion by the Society of Lounge Lizards or some other weird group like Honda Lovers . I'll contact the Burlington authorities, police and parking, as I did last time so that there is no hassle parking at a strange angle in the municipal lot across the road. The Queens Head 400 Brant St. Burlington. 905-632-1300. From the east. QEW to Brant. South to Elgin almost at the Lakeshore. The pub is on the right of Brant and the municipal lot on the left. From the west. QEW to North Shore to Lakeshore, up Brant about two blocks. Parking is FREE at the lot on Sundays and also on the street. There is a high rise pay lot on Elgin but it is unattended. Would someone other than me be kind enough to bring a DSM along this time. When I showed the owner what a DSM was, (the Morgan club meets there and he's interested in cars), he was not impressed. My DSM and a bunch of winter beaters. Cheers Tony

I might be able to make it out this time. There is an event going on at work but I might be able to get away being "on call"
for whats it worth, my DSM looks like a winter beater...rust and all.

I've talked to the Burlington authorites and we are more than welcome to use the municipal lot. The weather channel so far claims Sunday will be 19C and sunny , so we can sit on the deck at the Queens Head if you want. Cheers Tony

Nigel,
Great. I'm going to try and bring a camera but I need Josh tech expertise on what type.
Carlos,
I'm leaving around 11:30 to get there for 12:00 to hook up with Josh and make sure everything is set before 1:00 Pm. I'm roughly at 427 & Burnamthorpe if you want to tag down. PM me if you would like to do so. alowell@sprint.ca
Cheers Tony

It looks like Carlos and I are going to tag up around the Burnamthorpe & 427 area then head down. I'll post where and when for any other zoo dwellers like us later in the week. Josh, as you can see is the camera wiz . I can bring an SLR or a video cam but neither with a USB connection. Theres a conflict between TWN and PULSE 24 regarding the weather. I'll bring the DSM rain or shine. Let's hope for the best. Besides if it rains I'll make Josh spend the 3 hours to wash it . Cheers Tony

What gives? CP24 says rain Friday, Saturday, Sunday. The Weather Network says nice tomorrow (I plan to wash the dust off the car outside), rain Saturday nice Sunday.
Do these guys live on different planets?
Cheers Tony

As far as directions go 400 Brant St. Burlington. Look way up, way, way up,(like the Friendly Giant looking for Jerome the Giraffe), in these posts and you'll find all you need. Or call them 905-632-1300 and tell them where you are coming from. Carlos is going to tag with me from the zoo. We're meeting in the Loblaws parking lot (Eastmall, Burnamthorpe & 427) at 11:30 sharp, we'll wait 5 minutes then we're history. We are going to stop at Tim Hortons 3rd north and QEW in Oakville to tag with Nigel around 11:50. Poor Josh is going to have to check the Royal Fellatio by himself until we get there. I'm guessing he will be in proper attire. Tux from Syd Silvers. Good practice for his upcoming wedding though. . No Hefner emblems on that outfit Josh. It's a pub so dress is casual. The Queens Head is a two story historic building (an old hotel) refurbished as a British pub with a zinc and dining area plus a seperate smoking lounge for those so inhaled. It offers typical British pub fare (and wenches), a variety of potable beer, lager, ale, stout, cider and yes they even have the, no offense, 'foreign crap' that Maple Leaf fans drink. Australian Molson's and Belgiums Labatt's. I think they have some beer brewed by a Canadian company. Straws are free for that stuff. Hit me when you get there, just don't touch the DSM. Cheers Tony

I guess we caused quite a stir leaving Burlington after the meet. I got home, put on the weather channel to see what day I could wash the car (swine weather), and a Niagra Falls policeman was being interviewed on the phone. ‘This black cloud came up so fast from the direction of Burlington, I parked my cruiser under an overpass. The noise was deafening. I thought for sure it was a tornado!’ Well, I knew those fancy exhaust systems on the DSM’s driven by Nigel Smith and Carlos Manuel Vincent caused the noise . You don’t need a performance part spec sheet with those two around. I think they are trying to compete with NASA or something. Ziggy and his wife popped in with a shocking story for Greg Farrel. I guess that will take some bounce out of him. Greg and I discussed recirculating balls and other anatomical DSM issues regarding steering problems occurring during autocross races. Steve Jacobs enjoyed the music from his dad’s era, also mine, and asked, ‘Who is that?’ ‘Led Zeppelin’ I replied. We talked about muscle cars and such as his father has a few. Josh and I as usual checked out the scenery. As a bonus, Miss, ‘she who knows how to erotically eat a drumstick ’ was there too. Josh took some pictures,no, not of her, but of the cars and members. There were lots of laughs, tall stories and good exchanges of information and ideas. Thanks to everyone who popped by. Cheers Tony
