Our last test & tune plus BBQ is set for Oct 14th
Location = St.Thomas Dragway. (Sparta).
Time. = 12:00 noon till 5:00pm
When were done at the track we will convoy into London, to one of our customers for a BBQ and drinks, (BYOB).
We have about 18 - 20 cars coming so far, we will setup groups based on power and drive train and most of all have some fun.
** If it is raining we will go for the following weekend, same set-up.

St. Thomas' calendar has the 14th listed as "Mopar Fun Day". Has this been cancelled, or is it going on as well?

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Yes, "Mopar Fun Day" is still on.
** More cars to race.

Correction: track is open at 10:00
racing from 11:00 - 4:00

We will give the BBQ address at the track. We are not going to put the customers address on the net.

I've never been to one of these before, can someone describe it to me? when you say test/tune do you mean on a dyno or are we on the track all day? can anyone go (ie me)?.

Any details would be greatly appreciated.

I never been to one either...
But from what i gather.. you basically go to the track... and test and tune our car tongue ...

No dyno, just at a track. Should be a good time smile

Hey Luke. We do this usually twice a year. What it is, is just running with a normal T&T day at Sparta but flooding it with DSMs. Next year we will definately book a track day all for just DSMs but the volume hasn't been there before. (until now) We have on paper a possible 24 DSMs that have showed an interest in coming. Just to make it alittle more fun is we are putting everyone in 1 of 3 classes to race at Sparta. (all of fun remember) Now the BBQ. We've had an interest in people drinking at our BBQ's so this time we are not having it at our shop. A good customer of ours has offered to have it at his house. At about 4:00 the whole convoy will be heading to his place from the track for the BBQ and beers. Everyone that comes to the track is invited to his house. I will be more than happy to help arrange a convoy from the GTA, just let me know. Thanks

Pat, I'm not sure if you've looked into renting Sparta for the day, but last year when we did it, it was CHEAP.

$400 for the first 8 cars, and $50 a car after that.

We had ~ 10 guys, $50 a piece, and the track was ours for the day. WELL worth it.

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Steve. We are getting the track for sure next year. It's also way to much fun running against other cars that show up for a T&T. (ie. cobras and vipers) haha

The cost to get in I believe is $30 to race $10 spectator. Luke, you'll need a helmet only if you are under 13.0. On a T&T they aren't that strict anyways.

Helmets at St. Thomas are required for 13.999 and quicker, unless they changed it this year.

We have had a few calls from customers who want to meet at the shop, then convoy down to the track.
We won't be open Saturday morning, but we will be at the shop from 10:00 - 10:30 am. Anyone who wants to meet up is welcome. We will be leaving at 10:30 sharp.
See the rest of you at the track.

I'm a little nervous about running my car again because I was there last Satuday...
But there is a good chance I will be there as well.
Anyone know the forecast?

40mins from UWO.. oh man it's going to be a very... very rough morning frown

I'll be there though. \m/

PS: is there someone that can bring a spare 1G MAF? I'm having a horrible stuttering problem and I think it may be my GM MAFT and I didn't keep my MAF. I only have the 1G snorkel.

thanks

Darren and myself are planning on attending. We're thinking about meeting at Tim's at 16th & Lesile at 9:00am. You're more than welcome to meet up if you like? We're going to make the call at 8:00am if we're going 100%. We want to double check the weather reports in the morning before hand ....

Thanks to everyone that came out, it was a great showing.
I'm sure a few of you are hung over from the BBQ.
We have lots of pic's and vidios, I'll try and get them up on our web site next week.
It's nice to see how many are serious about running their cars, even if it is a little cool.
Only one car was towed home, I'll pull your motor next week Jason, see what that Nos did to it.
Well done Pat, for laying down the fastest time and putting the grudge match between you and Tony to rest once and for all.
Thanks to Darren & Mark who came all the way from Markham, nice car's guys.

I managed to get a few vids of your cars running. Mainly those two black talons that made a few passes. Also the ForcePower car. The second run woulda been so much faster, it looked like the driver may have missed second or granny shifted. Either way, awesome car. I was running my 14 sec EL. tongue
