Since i stopped driving my gf's talon about two weeks ago, I checked it out today, and the boost lag was BRUTAL. Even the boost was absolute CRAP! Popped the hood, started inspecting all the visible hoses... tightened down clamps... went for another drive... much better... but still shitty.

Boost starts building at 3500RPM. WTF is up with that? I don't remember it being that bad. Goes right up to 14 psi like it did before. But it doesnt feel the same at all. Thought you guys might shed some light on the subject...
Thanks

cracked wastegate/exhaust housing could be causing the slower spool.

have you pressurized the intake tract?

Check the 4 bolts holding the tubo to the manifold. They like to come loose after a while.

Common problem in higher milage turbos with internal wastegate flap. It's caused by cracks on the surface of the turbo where the flap seats. These allow exhaust gases to escape and you take longer to build boost.
