Same here, my mother had problems starting her Mercury Sable, which really isnt anything special to start and should give trouble. I had to crank that thing multiple times to get it going, and even when it did, it stumbed and sounded weird for the first few seconds/minutes.
Just normal effects on weather, i`m sure people will be popping up now with multiple problems now that the weather came in.

Dan : There is enough gas in the tank, I did give it gas to try to keep RPM's up but as soon as I let go the car's idle drops and dies out. I didn't unplug the MAF plug b/c no time, the car died too fast. I didn't hear any weird noise when the car started up however when I was starting the car I heard a weird noise. I can't describe what that sound was.
Rob : How can water get in the system...?
Rest : I hope you guys are right about the weather being the problem.
Please more suggestions!

I'm putting my money on the cold temps, make sure that you have enough gas in this weahter, it makes a huge difference. Check for too thick of an oil too. 5W30 in the winter is the way to go.
Check your battery too. I know it cranks, but it may not be putting out enough juice to keep her lit.

I haven't plugged my car in yet.I do use amsoil 10/30 synth. It still flows nice even down to like -40,Regular dino oil turns to thick soup. Also make sure your battery is a1 and it don't hurt to plug the car in.Not sure if these newer fuel injection cars need any gasline antifreeze.
Also important to start it likely would be good plugs.
And if it still don't want to stay running then maybe things like idle speed, that pesky isc thing or maybe the fast idle controller.
Mine used to do the extreme fluctation swing thing but cleaned it with mccc and it idles good now.
