Since the information is sketchy,
Lets break it down.
Sounds like ither a Centre diff problem or a Transfer case problem.
There is nothing you could do this late at night but you can check to confirm if your rear brakes are seizing up (if you said the rear's locked up). Also check if all your tires are the same size.
Have the car towed the the dealership first thing tomorrow on a flatbed truck. DO NOT drive the car.
When you have the car at the shop, personally check if all the wheels are rolling, and check the fluid lvls (if there is any) in your transmission, transfercase and rear diff. Note the smell (not burnt or likewise).

So has a mechanic actually looked at the car and diagnosed it as a transfer case failure, or have you just come to that conclusion yourself somehow? No matter what the problem is, it sounds to me like the dealership sold you a bad car (it failed on the way home with the car, right?). I'd go back and suggest that they probably knew that the car had problems, that they knowingly sold you a faulty vehicle which endangered your life and the life of your 3 year old daughter (even if you don't have one), and just generally have a screaming hissy fit in the middle of the dealership until they agree to fix it. If all else fails, and if it's the transfer case, I can't see paying for a brand new one from the stealer. Find a used one and pop it in yourself, it hardly takes any time at all to swap the transfer case. Good luck!

Anyone who would look under the car would see the oil from the T-Case. If they ignored it that is really bad. Also some dealers try to put free rust undercoat to cover up shock leaks and oil leaks. If Chrysler refuses to fix the TC (or whatever is wrong with the car) as a recall, then you can still fall back on the purchase.
If you bought the car from a dealer (and not as-is/Private sale) then you may have at least some powertrain warranty which should be covered.
